ISO 14001 Environmental Management dankalk’s Environmental Management dankalk aims at being environmentally conscious considering the environment a common responsibility. To ensure environmental responsibility, dankalk wants to:
- observe the rules and permits regarding environment and energy
- implement and maintain an eco-management system according to DS/EN/ISO 14001
- observe DS 2403 (The Danish Standard for Energy Management) introduced by the Danish Energy Authority in 2001 under which companies can be given energy management certification)
- annually evaluations and determination of objectives
- increased focus on environmental improvements
- increased focus on energy consumption through analyses and monitoring
- make voluntary agreements schemes on energy efficiency with the Danish Energy Authority
- prevent pollution and be observant of noxious environmental effects
- reduce emission, energy consumption and use of raw materials per ton limestone produced
- incorporate essential environmental conditions when determining environmental objectives and audit schemes
- use innovative technology
- encourage environmental consciousness in our employees, customers and suppliers
- maintain good relations with authorities, neighbours and other interest groups
- ensure an efficient and useable eco-management system
The objectives depicted in our eco policy apply to all of dankalk’s limestone facilities in Aggersund, Batum, Mjels and Poulstrup.
Moreover, dankalk are obligated to:
- follow the mindset and requirements of ISO 14001:2004
- maintain certification and a high level of environmental protection by implementing, maintaining and improving our environmental management system
